Howdy Brave Being,
Welcome to a new recurring series where I’ll recommend comics to read. Basically, it’ll encompass books on my nightstand. This series will crop up here and there, in between updates and interviews. There may be a theme and if not, I’ll list the genres in the headline.
With this new series, I’d like to formally invite each of you to comment below with your current reads and recommendations because, well, I’d love to hear from y’all! Comic-book club anyone? 😉
Without further ado, here are some awesome comics available now and made by wonderful creators:
Darlin’ and Her Other Names, Part I: Marta by Olivia Stephens is a werewolf-western-horror-romance and Olivia even made a playlist to go with it! Don’t miss my interview with Olivia about her related short here.
Roger Ebert & Me by Milton Lawson and Rem Broo is about a magical road trip through the world of movies, featuring one of cinema's greatest champions.
End After End by DB Andry, Tim Daniel, and Sunando C. follows Walt Willem who died and awakes in an afterlife that’s full of swords and sorcery! Read the interview I did with the creative team here.
Spacefarers & Sorcery Book 1: Lilian by StrayBardArt is a Dungeons and Dragons and sci-fi inspired yarn with a heck of a pitch: “Ancient Tomes, Brave Adventurers, A Corrupt Commander, and A Galaxy on the Brink of War!”
Birds of a Feather Burn Together by Erik Whalen. This 130-page Western tale about revenge is stunning! It comes in digital format too, here.
Tell me what you’re reading in the comments!
